Frequently Asked Questions

How many images do you take at a wedding?

There are no limits to the amount of images I take. I not only aim to take lots of images but also make sure that the images I present are of the highest quality. You’ll receive these digitally via a password-protected gallery, from where you can download the high res versions. I take the time to capture, edit and present the collection of images that best tell the story of your wedding day.

Where are you based and do you travel?

Based in Margaret River and available Australia Wide. I will travel anywhere along the way to Perth and also anywhere all the way down to Esperance. I will always scout any new locations before shooting there.

Do you travel Internationally?

Yes! I would love to do more destination weddings; so please hit me up with your wedding location and we can take it from there.

Do you offer an option to have another Photographer?

Yes. While I find most weddings only require 1 photographer there are some instances when having an extra photographer can be beneficial. I have a list of reputable photographers I like to work with. Please let me know if you would like this option.

How would you describe your style?

My approach is creative and low key, as I want you to feel you have space to just enjoy your day, and simply be you. During the private moments, I stand back and create images that are candid and natural. During the portraits I provide helpful direction to make sure that we are making the most of the light, environment and that you are relaxed and comfortable.

Do you edit your images?

Yes. I edit my images in Lightroom using a mixture of Colour and Black and White. I want skin to look beautiful and aim for natural, sharp, clear and vibrant.

What equipment do you use?

Canon 5D mark3 cameras and Canon/Sigma prime lenses

Do you use Flashes on your camera?

I generally only use Flash during the reception if it is in a dark setting. I prefer using natural light and my cameras and lenses allow me to capture quality images in lots of low light conditions.

Do you take Family photos after the Ceremony?

Yes. To make this part of the day run quicker and smoothly, I recommend my clients allocate a bridesmaid or someone who knows everyone fairly well. Write a list of the family/friend photo combinations you would like and give this list to your designated person, to help call upon people on the day. It can sometimes be chaotic trying to organise large selections of people and this method helps a lot!

Do you photograph the guests at our wedding?

Yes! I am constantly on the look out for images that show your guests having a great time at your wedding.

What happens after the wedding?

Depending on which package you have selected will determine how many weeks before you receive your images. All of my clients receive High Resolution images in a private online gallery, with the option to share with friends and family. You will also receive High Resolution images on a Keepsake USB in a custom wooden box.

Will we see any of our images before the allocated turn around time?

Yes. I post a few sneak peek images to my Facebook and Instagram pages a few days after your special day. This is also written in my Contract, but of course if you prefer your privacy, please let me know in advance, and that is totally fine!

How much time do you recommend we allow for photos with our bridal party?

I recommend 1 hour to 1.5 hours + travel time.

I want to book, what now?

Let me know that you would like to book and the date of your special days so I can check my availability. I will then send you my Contract - Terms and Conditions with all the deposit and payment details enclosed. The deposit is between $350 - $500 depending on your package.
